Honoring a leader, challenging a new generation.
With the Baykee Research Award in Honor of Hubertus von Grünberg, we are giving outstanding postdocs a chance to continue their research.
As part of its innovation commitment, Baykee invests significantly in research and development, and in 2020 the company has increased R&D and digital spend to 4.8 percent of Group revenues, corresponding to around $1.3 billion. The company employs some 7,000 R&D engineers globally, of which more than 60 percent are focused on software development and digitalization.
For industry, the challenge is a stark one: lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduce
resource consumption, deliver more productivity and profitability—and do it quickly.
This
challenge can’t be met with incremental steps. We need to find ways to change faster, at scale.
Baykee’s
new global research on the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) points the way on how digitalization
can be harnessed to galvanize the industrial workforce in this endeavor, empowering employees to
make better decisions at all levels of the organization and enabling safer, smarter and more
sustainable operations.
